12-21-09:More about books...

hey there ya'll! Merry almost Christmas!

Soooo yeah, I've been real busy lately with baking for the holidayz, babysitting, Christmas shopping and of course WRITING! I'm currently working three books and thought I'd just give you the introductions to look over!

The Almost Perfect Forever
Paige Riley is a sixteen year-old junior and has the perfect life. She has two
amazing Christian parents, an older brother and sister, and an adopted little sister.
She goes to the BEST church in all of Minnesota, where all her close friends
attend too.
She has her own horse, a hunt, tobiano paint named Leo, the cutest horse in all the
stable. And, she’s one of the best riders in the state.
Nothing could get better for this smart, athletic, pretty teenager. She has what so many of her friends call, the perfect life.
BUT, it’s all about to come crashing down around her. Some news, that some would
consider the opportunity of a life time, hits hard on this small town girl. Will she ever be able to adjust to this change?

The Dancing Hearts
Marissa Riley is a seventeen year-old senior at Dalesworth High in southern California. But, this surfer/dancer chick is taken by surprise when a transfer student named Todd Harrison shows up in her dance class and she is partnered with him. Will sparks fly between the two students? Or will someone’s heart become broken?

Ella
Ella Matthews has only dreams of ever attending college. But, her stable hand salary will never get her there.
Tyler Burk, a super star rider only wants a break from his over busy schedule. But… when he comes to Lakewood for Winter break, he just might find more than he’d even considered.
Ella, a “horsey” twist on the classic Cinderella tail

Well, I gotta go, but have a merry CHRISTmas!

12-14-09:A Christmas Tag

One of my friends tagged me... kinda, she says that anyone who already has their tree up should do this... so that'd be me! <3

1.Do you believe Jesus is the reason for the season? Completely!

2. Have you ever been in a Christmas Play? Yuppers

3.What is your favorite thing you get in you stocking? Jewelery

4. What is your best Christmas memory? Um, probably last Christmas eve I played my harp at my church's Christmas eve service.

5. What is your favorite Christmas beverage? A vanilla latte with whip cream and peppermint shavings on top

6. What do you put on your tree top? An angel most of the time, a few years we had a star,

7. Where do you get your tree? I don't remember. It's not real and we've had it for a long time...

8. Do you go somewhere for Christmas or do you host? Most of the time we go to someone Else's house.

9. Do you have any traditions? We always put up our tree on my daddy's birthday, Dec. 9th

10. How much do you like Christmas? LOTS!! It's my favorite holiday!

11. What do you do on Christmas Eve? go to a service, either at our church or my grandparents and open family gifts.

12. What do you do on Christmas Day? (At my grandparents house) Wake up, go downstairs and have coffee with papa(My grandpa)wait for everyone else to get up, make pancake breakfast with cousins and papa, go downstairs again(The basement) and open Santa gifts.

13. What is your favorite Christmas song? Last Christmas or Carol of the bells

14. What do you really want for a gift this year? Another set of breeches and half chaps!

15. Favorite treat? Chocolate mint bars

16. Do you usually have a white Christmas? YES! Almost every year, sometimes our weather is stubborn...

17. How long did you believe in Santa Clause? I never did. It scared me to death of the thought of a stranger coming in our house at night so my parents told me that Santa didn't exist just so I would be able to sleep. I never believed in the tooth fairy(I had a tooth daddy) or Easter bunny either.

18. Who's your favorite reindeer? Rudolph!

19. The Christmas present you always wanted but never got? A horse

20. Last one. What is the best thing about Christmas to you? The fact that our savior was born on that day, it's very surreal.

I tag....

Anyone who has heard the twelve days of Christmas song!

12-13-09:Ella...A horsey twist

hey ya'll!

I thought today I'd just share with you a short clip of my latest book Ella, so... here is the introduction, the clip and cover pic!

Introduction:
Ella Matthews has only dreams of ever attending college. But, her stable hand salary will never get her there.
Tyler Burk, a super star rider only wants a break from his over busy schedule. But… when he comes to Lakewood for Winter break, he just might find more than he’d even considered.
Ella, a “horsey” twist on the classic Cinderella tail

“Hey boy, ready for a ride?” Ella snuck into Hugo’s stall. The large, majestic grey Andalusian shook his head up and down. He obviously wasn’t as tired as she, it being almost midnight.
Ella tacked up Hugo and took him into the indoor arena. The barn was completely quiet and empty. Everyone had left more than two hours ago… but she’d only just got done with chores.
“Okay boy, trot.” Ella sent the horse into a smooth, controlled working trot.
The twosome were a perfect match. Every command Ella gave, Hugo instantly obeyed. And in return, Ella always snuck him extra sugar cubes and carrots through out the day.
Ella was one of the best riders there was. Skilled like a pro. But know one would, and ever could know. Her step sister made sure of that.
“Good boy, canter.” Hugo’s steady canter was perfect as always. As the two flew around the arena, a smile grew across Ella’s face. Her favorite time of night was riding time. One of the many things she loved about working at the stable was all the many horses. And it wasn’t until three years ago until she realized that when the barn was completely empty, it was a perfect time for a ride.
Finally, Ella cooled down the large horse and took him back to his stall. She gave him a good groom and then left him with a handful of carrots. Making sure his tack was clean and nothing looked used, she placed them back where they’d come from.
Hailey, Hugo’s owner was always traveling with her parents. Ella and her were sort of friends, but more in a I-let-you-ride-my-baby-when-I’m-gone kind of friendship.
Finally, she turned off the lights and left the stable. She climbed into her used pick-up truck and headed home for the night.

“Tyler, come on… you’ve got to go to that interview with RidingSport Magazine.”
“I know Rick, I know… I’m going.” Tyler picked up his sweatshirt and put on his boots as he headed out the door. Not the way he wanted to spend his Saturday. More interviews.
“I’m sorry dude, but what can I do?”
“I know Rick, it’s not your fault. I’ve just got to stop excepting this interviews.”
“What you need is a break.” Rick climbed into the passenger seat and waited for Tyler to slide into the drivers seat.
“What did you say?”
“That you need a break?” Tyler gave a sigh and then laughed.
“You’re right. Why didn’t I think of that?”
“I don’t know dude, I just thought you didn’t really want one.”
“No… I do. I need one or else I’ll go wacko. Rick, tomorrow you and I leave on the first plane out of here for an entire month.”
“Where are we goin?” Tyler only smiled… he had the perfect place in mind.

12-9-09:Snow day and daddy's b-day!

!!!!!!
Normally, I don't post twice a day... but today I had too!
It snowed like crazy last night. And, since we live out in the country, it's really, really windy out. So, we have snow everywhere.
I'm home schooled, so it doesn't affect me sadly, I still have to do all my school work, but my brothers who go to a private school don't have school. Lucky ducks. (Jk, I don't mind school that much)
And... it would also by my daddy's birthday! :D HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!
And, as tradition, me and my brothers set up our Christmas tree this morning. (Yes, it's fake... my mom and I are allergic to pine. :( ) For the last four years now we've set up the Christmas tree on my daddy's birthday before he gets home from work. Normally we get the lights and ornaments on too, but this year all our lights don't work, so we have to wait and do that part when he gets home and fixes them. :D
Well, that's all... I'm going to go break out my skis! Have a great day!!

11-23-09:Marie Sandvik Center

EEEP! I had the most fun I've had since the mission trip this past sunday last night!!!!!

The High school youth group and some of us 8th graders all went to the Marie Sandvik center last night to help serve dinner and get meals ready for thanksgiving. The Marie Sandvik center is sort of like a soup kitchen, but they do way more. They have a chapel service, serve food and they have a food shelf.

Well, now I'm going to get into what I did last night.
Last night, me and my friend Bulleh were in charge of getting a group of us teenagers to sing in the chapel service. At first, I felt like fainting. I am SCARED TO DEATH of singing in front of people. But, once we were up there... it wasn't all that bad. :D
We got about eight people to sing with us, and only one guy sang with us the entire time. (We teased them all later, saying that they were all too chicken to sing in front of people, they of course said that that wasn't true at all, but we so knew it was, lol!) Eventually, two more guys joined us, so a total of like ten or eleven of us sang for an hour. My voice was pretty much gone by the end of the night. :D
I also helped set up some of the food shelf and take out the garabage... which was more fun that you would think. :D

By the end of the night we were all laughing our head off, and I'm pretty sure the regular workers thought we were all slap happy or somethin', but we reallly enjoyed ourselves.
I know what you're thinking right now... really silly night, but we totally had loads of fun, and were so surprised about how easy it was too...
Well, I gotta go work on some school... but I hope you all have a great day!

My Thoughts... On writing

Hi everyone one! So sorry it took me a few days to get this on, I'm not doing a very good job at this, anyway... this week I'll be sharing my thoughts on writing.

As many of you know, I'm an avid writer, I've never published any of my books before, though lately I have consider it. I've posted segments in the past of two of my books, here are the links...

A Guarded Heart

A Summer to Remember

Anyway, writing is a therapy for me. I know, that sounds really weird and kinda awkward... but it's true. And it's really fun. And easy once you find a subject that sticks. Here are the steps I used when I first started writing...

Find the subject:
I tried SOOOOO many different topics. I tried dancing, singing, acting, fashion, adventure, action, mystery... and none of those books got finished. My heart wasn't in them. Then I started with horses. HA! Guess how many books I've written and finished that involve horses just this passed year? FOUR! Yup... four books, it really helps to write about a subject you enjoy, then you'll want to finish it!

While writing...
I never let myself write for more than two hours. Other wise, you ramble on and on... this helps keep that to a minimum. Also, I'd carry around note books and pens (You should SEE my purse!)and while at the mall, just jot down the ideas. This really helped for when I got back to writing, I could incorporate those ideas.
KEEP ON ONE TOPIC! If you start to linger off the main topic of the book too much, you're going to have people loose interest. Sure, now and then you can put in something random, just to keep them guessing... but it really helped my to stay on one topic.

Get opinions!...
When I finished my first book, I gave a few copies to my closest friends and had them read it... then they gave me their opinions. This really helped me with my later drafts.

And from there on I pretty much repeated the process with other books.

Have you ever wanted to be a princess? Or maybe the super smart best friend? How about the richest person in the world? Amazing, well known singer/actor/actress?? Or maybe the family dog. In writing, you can be whoever you want to be!!! Most of the time, I'm the main character... but sometimes I'm the really funny best friend, or even someone who makes a quick appearance. It varies with each book.

See, writing is amazing... I encourage everyone to try it. You don't have to write a 200 plus page novel (Though if you do... that's awesome!!!!!!!!!!) it could be a five page story, whatever you like... just remember to make it your own and enjoy it.

See you all next week!

My Movies... High School Musical

Almost everyone out there reading this knows about HSM (High School Musical)And almost everyone out there enjoyed it. So here is my movie review on HSM.

In this story a girl named Gabriella Montez(Vennessa Ann Hugens) and a boy named Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) meet at a new years eve party at a vacation lodge. Troy is a basket ball boy and Gabriella is a school genius girl. They are picked to sing together and end up cranking up the party when they find the voices they never had. Then when Troy goes back to New Mexico for school and thinks that he has seen the last of his beautiful singing partner, he meets her again in his homeroom class. He calls her on her cell phone and get himself and her in BIG trouble with their teacher Ms. Darbus. Troy, Gabriella, Troy's BF Chad, Ryan and Sharpay Evens and Taylor another smart girl at east high school all get detention for different reasons. After that Troy shows Gabriella around the school and Sharpay gets jealous. Later Troy secretly goes to the auditions for the spring musical to just see what it is like. Gabriella also goes there just to watch. Then the pianist, Kelsi trips and falls after everyone leaves, and feeling sorry for her, the two go help pick up her music sheets. She asks them if they would like to hear how the duet is sapposed to sound and they start singing. Ms. Darbus sneaks back in while their singing, and ends up tells them they have a call back and Sharpay goes crazy! She tells Ms. Darbus that she needs to change the call backs to the same day as Troy's big basket ball game and the same day as the Scolastic dicatholon. She says it would be better for everyone. Ms Darbus gives in and now, Troy and Gabriella go crazy! How will they ever get do all the things they need to do if they are all on the same day at the same time?! Watch the movie and find out! This movie is rated G and I rate it AA for all ages

My thoughts: Famous Failures...

Okay SOOO sorry this took forever to get on here, I've been busy all week trying to pack for our Disney trip.
Watch this video quick, it's only 1 minute and 39 seconds. Then, scroll down for some of my thoughts on what I took from this video...

*

Okay, now that you've watched the video, I'm (hopefully!) not going to bore you to death.

First off, what this video says at the end is true. And I think that it definatly proves a point. If you've never failed... you've never lived. Well some of you may be thinking "I haven't failed, yet I'm a living-human-being!" But that's not what this video means, not breathing living, going out into the world and showing people your colors! If you're afraid to fail, then you will most likely never try anything new. Now, a few people who know me... might be thinking "she shouldn't be talking" and I shouldn't really. For the past years in my life, I've honestly been afraid to try almost anything I haven't already. No roller costers, no away or day camps, no talking to people I don't know, answering questions asked about God and/or school work... stuff like this. But... this past year (2009) I've come out of my shell a lot I think personally. I went on a mission trip, I went to zoo camp, on my mission trip, I talked with people that back home I wouldn't have even come close too! Now, I've talked and told people about my faith, and got 30 out of 33 on my science test! And now on my vacation to WDW... I am going to brave the rollar costers! I promise to tell you guys all about them too. :D
But this is getting off topic. So let's swerve back...
I was afraid of failures and regections. So, instead of taking the chance of getting hurt... I ignored the entire events! I missed out on soo much! I only wished I wouldn't have been afraid of failure and lived sooner. But, past is the past, and now that I've started to over come these fears, I've enjoyed life so much more!

Here is some stuff on the video.

Lucille Ball: One of the best actresses of all time! She was told that she was too shy, and wasn't going anywhere... but she didn't give up. She wasn't afraid to fail, and look where it got her. Don't be afraid.

Michael Jordan: Uh hello? Almost everyone knows this name belongs to one of the best basket ball players of all time! But yet he was told in high school that he wasn't good enough and was cut from the basket ball team. He locked himself in his bedroom and cried! But, he didn't give up... he went back out there and tried his best, yes... he might fail, but he wasn't afraid. And look where it got him? Do not be afraid to fail... no matter where you are in life. (Expecially High school and Middle school)

Walt Disney: Okay, this one was almost too hard to believe! Honestly? Walt Disney... told he wasn't creative or original?! And had NO imagination?!?!?!?! Hello? the man created things that no one thought was possible! If you were told this, wouldn't you give up? I probably would, but Walt didn't. He didn't care about failure... he knew that it might come, but he was willing to try his best. And look where he ended up, wouldn't you have liked to meet the person who told Walt that he didn't have any imagination? I would have! AFTER of course, Walt Disney World became a fanatic. Don't be afraid to go after your dreams, don't be afraid to fail.

If you haven't failed, you've never lived. Do you think these three amazing people would agree with this statement? I do. Now, let's see what the bible says about failure...

*1 Thessalonians 2:1-3
You know, brothers, that our visit to you was not a failure. We had previously suffered and been insulted in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in spite of strong opposition. For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you.

Here, Paul is speaking to a group of people, telling them that stuff that you've done, that might be seen as a failure to others, God can turn into sucsess. I'd say that God did this with all three people we've metioned above, and the others in the video. Why don't you just right now... sit there and pray. Ask God to help you not be afraid to fail, and to live for him. Don't be afraid to fail when serving God... go full out, and God will use you in amazing ways.

That's all for today, sorry again that it took so long to get this post on here!

10-5-09: My Thoughts Column! Debute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Thoughts.......On youth mission trips

As many of you know, I've gone on two youth mission trips with my church youth group. They are amazing, not only do you get to serve others, you get to worship the Lord, be surrounded by other people who love God just like you, and you get to become really close with all of your friends.
This past mission trip nine of us youth went, and three adults. One being my youth Pastor, the others being one of my guy friends parents (His mom being my small group leader).
The car rides are probably my favorite part of the mission trips. It was about a six hour drive from our church parking lot, to the church where we'd all be stayin' for the next week. :D (here comes a funny part) We had all our luggage in the back of our twelve passenger van, it came up to just about the same height as the back seat. And apparently to the guys in our group, it was very comfortable. We took mostly back roads, and some county roads, but they were never very busy. When we were on these roads, our youth pastor would let us un buckle and then the guys of course, would all cram into the back and all us girls (Five of us, four guys) would cram into the back seat, rear facing.
We sit and talk for hours on end and the conversations will always be on my mind. We're all really close now, it's amazing what a simple car ride, and a simple five day mission trip will do to you. We'd work from nine in the morning to four in the afternoon. Serving others is so amazing, and when you get to do it along side of your close friends, it's fun! You joke around, get dirty and just have a blast with each other. You meet new people and make friendships that will last a life time.
So let's see, for one week out of your summer you sign up for a mission trip. What will you probably be doing is laughing and having a great time with friends, worshiping God in a place that is so amazingly perfect, getting to meet new friends. Is that so bad? NO! It's amazing! (I use this word a lot) So, I definatly say to all my readers out there, take just one week... one week off of your summer vacation and spend it serving God, I can promise you, you will have fun.
So, that's all for this week, come back next week for the topic, My Thoughts.......On The video, LIFE=RISK

9-26-09:Another book clip

This is a clip from another one of my books, A Guarded Heart, leave me a comment and tell me if you like it!

“We’re now landing in Cheyenne Wyoming. Please be carful as you leave this aircraft and have a wonderful stay, in the Cowboy State.” Maddie rolled her eyes and stood. She grabbed her small, carry-on and then her purse. While letting a man in a dark brown business suit pass by, Maddie applied some lip gloss onto her thin lips.
“I could have sworn this was coconut.” After a few other strangers passed by, Maddie was finally able to step out into the long isle and out of the stuffy plane.
Maddie soon made her way to the luggage claim, remembering where it was from the year before and wasted no time finding her hot pink over sized suit case.
“Grandma?”
“Hello Madison. Have you arrived yet?”
“Yeah, I’m waiting with my luggage at the airport. Is Hank picking me up?”
“Not this time, his nephew is staying with him for awhile as well. And Hank had him drive out. He knows who you are, just look for a boy, about of 5’11 in jeans and cowboy boots.”
“Alright grandma,” Not saying that that described more than half of the people standing by her at the moment. But hoped her grandma was right, and her ride would know her.
“Miss. Parker?”
“Yeah?”
“Hi… I’m Derek Malone. Can I help you with your bags?”
“Uh sure, thanks.” Maddie stared at the boy, his blondish hair was barely visible with is large, cowboy hat. He had hazel eyes, just like Maddie’s grandma’s work hand and his skin was just as tanned as her own.
“So, my uncle tells me that you’ve visited ‘fore?”
“Uh… yeah, every year since I was seven.”
“Which would be… if you don’t mind my askin’?”
“I don’t and ten years.”
“So you know that it’s a three hour drive from here to your grandma’s ranch?”
“Four when Hank drives.” Derek laughed as they climbed into the old, rusty and well passed it’s time pick-up and drove out of the Cheyenne Airport parking lot.
“So, what’s your favorite park about commin’ here all these years?”
“Normally it’s been getting away from the large California crowds… but this year… I’m leaving painful memories behind, and hoping to forget them.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be, like I said, I’m hopin’ to forget all about ‘em. Well, at least one.” Derek nodded as he turned down a familiar street. He’d driven in the capital many times before already that year. And nearly knew it like the back of his hand.
“Your grandma tells me you ride?”
“Oh yeah, I love riding. Out here I ride either Sugar or Diablo, and back home I ride my horse, Coco.”
“Wow, Diablo?”
“Yeah, does that surprise you?” Maddie suddenly put her guard on. If this boy didn’t think she could handle a Friesian stallion, he had another thing coming.
“No, well kinda. When your grandma said her granddaughter from L.A was coming for a visit, I just thought you’d be a city slicker.”
“Oh? And do I look like a “city slicker’” to you?” Derek had to admit, she didn’t looked like he’d imagined. Her brown hair was natural, not something he’d thought of, her tan skin was not something he’d expected and her boot-cut jeans and sweatshirt were defiantly not what he’d expected.
“So, you say you have your own horse?”
“Yeah, Coco. He’s an Andalusian gelding. Almost completely white, a few grey speckles here and there, and he has one black sock.”
“Sounds pretty.”
“He is, my mom calls him pretty boy. That’s actually his real name. His barn name is Coco.” Derek laughed and Maddie joined. They talked about horses for the rest of their drive out to the remote town of Jester Creek… home of only one hundred and three people.
♥~♥
“Grandma!”
“Madison! Oh it’s wonderful to see you again. Come, give me a hug.” Maddie ran over to her grandmother, dropping her purse on the large brown couch as she passed by.
“I missed you.”
“I missed you too Grandma. How are you?”
“I’m wonderful. The Ranch is doing so fine with Hank and now Derek working on it.”
“I bet. Derek told me that he was doing his last year of school here in town.”
“Yup, that he is. And I’m so glad, Hank is wonderful… but he’s not a young colt anymore.” The two women laughed and Hank came in from the kitchen.
“I heard that you two.”
“Hank!” Maddie rushed over to the old cowboy and hugged him tight.
“Hey there girlie, I missed you. So did Sugar.”
“I bet, I’ll come out and see her as soon as I take my stuff to my room.”
“I can do that for yeah,” Maddie turned to see Derek come in the screen door. Maddie made a mental note that it was still as squeaky as ever.
“No thanks, I want to unpack some of it anyway. Is my stuff that I left last year still there?”
“Yup; and, there is a small surprise in there for yeah too.”
“Okay,” Maddie ran up the stairs, hot pink suit case in tow and rounded the corner to find her bedroom...

So that's all I'm gonna give you for now, have a great day!

9-15-09: Book Clip

Okay, some of you know that I luv writing. It's total therapy for me. And, I just thought that maybe you all would like to get a glimse of some of my writing! I'm giving you a small section of my first book in a series I've been writing for almost a year now. Here you go......

A few people had arrived, the Sheppard’s were all there along with Teddy, Paul and his family were there, and the rest of Talia's family, were also there.
"Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. Is that Talia?"
"Hey daddy! You like?"
"Are you kidding? I love your outfit! I didn't buy that for you."
"Nope, Courtney is letting me borrow it."
"You look nice too Jenna."
"Thank-you Mrs. Richards. Your daughter does wonders with hair and make-up."
"Hey sport, is that you under all that girlie stuff, or Katie?"
"Justin... don't push it."
"I'm sorry, you look really nice."
"Thanks cowboy, didn't think I could wear a dress?"
"Never said that."
Justin walked over and gave his sister a big hug that lifted her off her feet.
Soon almost everyone in town was there and all the women were setting out food and putting some away for later. Courtney, Talia and Jenna had walked down to where almost all the horses had been set out in the pasture. The sat on the rails and watched them run after each other.
Courtney's mom had snuck away and took their picture. It was a very picture worthy moment. They never saw her which she was glad of.
"Hey, there's Kale!"
"And Cobalt."
"I think that's Francesca. I placed her out there when I got here."
"Yeah, that's her."
"Hey guys."
"Oh hey Rachel! You look pretty."
"Not as pretty as you three. You're the talk of the party. Everyone keeps saying that you look like angels."
"Well, your white Capri's and red halter make you look like a princess."
"Thanks, have you seen my brother?"
"Right here sis, wow. You three look amazing... I mean very pretty... I mean... uh."
"It's okay Tyler, we knew what you meant."
"Okay good. Someone was asking for your Courtney, I'm not sure who it was though."
"Oh, okay. I'll go right up. Can you give me a hand down though, I don't want to jump."
"Sure, here."
He held out his hand and let her hop down. She winced but walked up to the house.
"She doesn't show emotion very easily does she?"
"Nope, never has. I've known her almost my whole life and she never gave into anything."
They followed her up to the house and saw that it was her youth pastor.
"You didn't know Paul?"
"No..."
"He has shoulder length brown hair... how do you forget him?!"
"Idk."
"What?"
"I don't know. Don't you text Jen?"
"No, I don't have a cell."
"Oh, sorry." Courtney rolled her eyes and walked over to Paul.
"You look very pretty today; I haven't seen you in a dress since... you were two."
"Ha, yeah it has been a long time. I wear skirts mostly to church and other things."
"But you look very pretty. My sons all said you were the prettiest girl at the party."
Courtney laughed, Josh and Luke were four year old twin boys. They had a younger brother Arthur but, he was only one.
"Tell them thank-you, I think I'm going to get something to eat."
"Okay, bye!'
Courtney got in the long food line behind Brandon who was behind his older sister Ashley.
"Hey Bandon."
"Oh hey Courtney, have you met my older sister Ashley?"
"No I haven’t, hi."
"Well, hello. How old are you?"
"Fifteen."
"Ah, I'm twenty-two. I'm just home for this week from college. I have a condo closer to it. I'm studying to be a vet."
"Really? SO is my brother. What college are you going to?"
"I'm going to U of Tennessee. I have been for awhile now and I only have two years left."
"You’re kidding,"
Courtney placed some tuna salad on her plate before she said anything more.
"My brother goes there and he only has two years left too! Maybe you know him? Justin Richards?"
"Oh yeah, I know him. We're in the same classes."
"That's so cool."
They finished going through the line and found places to sit down. Courtney was joined by Rachel and Jenna. Talia was sitting across from them with her mom and step sister.
"So, you like the party Jen and Rachel?"
"Lovin' every moment of it."
"I can't believe we have to leave in four days."
"I know, I'm gonna miss you."
"Promise to write."
"How about email?"
"Works for me. Here, this is my address."

Hey, sorry I haven't blogged in a long time, but like I've said before, I have a super busy summer.
I finished zoo camp a few weeks ago. It was lots of fun and I met some great people! I also got to learn a lot about the animals at the zoo and howthey take care of them. It's more comlicated than you think. lol.
I can't believe that my birthday is coming around the corner! It's so scary!
We're having a huge family party coming in September, two of my brother's have September birthdays too. Then right after that (Same day) we're having a house warming party. I also start taking a few math, Science and Spanish classes at a church that holds classes for homeschoolers. I'm not sure If I'm excited about that or not, but it's only one day a week... so it's not that bad.
We're really getting moved in to our new house. I love it so much! It's so big! Anf our neighborhood is great.
Hope ya'll have a great rest of your summers!

Hey everyone! I thought I'd put a few pictures from my mission trip this past July on for ya'll to see... I hope you like them. :D

This is a picture I took out the window on our way home from the mission trip. Right before it started to pore.

This is a picture I took in the basilica we visited. We finished early one day, so a youth works staff lady took us here before our evening activity.

On our last night there, the youth works staff took us all to the beach. It was loads of fun and I learned how to play Wax Museum!!

This is one of my guy friends on the trip. He's laying on all our luggage! lol, apparently the seats weren't comfy enough for him. lol!!!

This is a picture of where I worked, I worked the entire week at a nursing home/assistant living place... we were not allowed to take pictures of the residents so I just took a picture of the building as we were leaving that Thursday.

It was a lot of fun, I met some amazing people from both illinois and Virgina. (Those were the other two groups that came on this spacivic mission trip) I still miss them but hope to keep in touch with a few!
Hope ya'll have a great day!!!
