3-27-11: Hello!

Hello again!
Sorry it's been so long since my last post... I've been insanely busy.
I was horse back riding on the beach, swimming in the ocean, spending time with my extended family, visiting a kindergarten school, taking loads of pics, getting sunburn, and spending a total of 8 hours sitting down.
And what exactly do you get when you add all of these things together? Well... here let's see...
Riding on the beach+ocean time+family time+learning about the rest of the world+camera overload+loads of aloe+cramped airplane =
SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!
Yup, I was on vacation in the incredible Jamaica! (Ya mon! sorry... had to add it! lol)
It was amazing, I loved every second of it! I got to ride on the beach!! That was definitely my highlight, as if you couldn't guess ;)
So yeah, sorry about not writing, but I hope I had a good excuse, :) I promise pics will come!!!
Gotta run, school to catch up on, have an amazing Sunday!

Revelations 5:13
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

11-12-10: So strange and some random(pretty awesome and then suckish) news

Hey, hey!! :-D

Oh my... can y'all believe that it is already November??? It feels like just yesterday we were shouting, "Happy 2010!!", and before we know it we'll be shouting, "Happy 2011!"
I cannot believe that Christmas is right around the corner... and guess what? We got a winter storm weather warning today! Around 6 inches of snow supposedly tomorrow!!!!! I'm SOOO excited! Breaking out those skis finally!! :-D

Well, other than being in total shock that the best year of my life is quickly coming to an end(D':)
I've been keeping rather busy.
I finally got to canter on the rail this week!!!!!!! And, if I do say so myself, I rocked it! Lol
But seriously, the BEST feeling in my life! Cantering around the arena, and the horse I was riding(Oreo) has a really fast canter(nearly gallop speed at times) I literally felt like I was flying. I felt like I could do anything... like anything that came my way I could come out on top.
And then I went to the dentist. (xP)
Recently I broke a tooth(very painful I might add). So, we went to our family dentist to go find out what to do about it and realized that the tooth behind it(my 12 yr old molar) has been coming in at a weird angle. I kinda already knew this, but didn't really think much of it. I figured it would straighten out eventually(Though... it had been quite a few years since it started to come in...).
Long story short, after consulting with another dentist, we just decided to have the tooth(my broken 6 yr old molar) pulled out so that the one behind it would come in straight.
Yeah... well, that didn't work.
First try, the Novocaine didn't work. My tooth was infected some how and for some reason that made it so the Novocaine numbed everything around my tooth... except my tooth. :(
But, we didn't know this... so they tried to pull it out with NO NOVOCAINE!! I was bawling my eyes out, pale as paper and shaking like a... well, I was shaking pretty violently. My pain tolerance is high, and this was the worst thing I have ever gone through. I NEVER want to go through it again. I later told some of my friends that I would have rather been trampled by a horse than go through that experience.
I got put on antibiotics to kill the infection, but apparently that STILL didn't work so they put me under to pull the tooth out. It was really strange, the laughing gas made me a little quirky and then they put an IV in my arm to completely knock me out.(THANK-YOU DENTIST!!!!!!!!) Though, my stupid vein didn't want to cooperate so they had to poke me several times. But, by that time I was totally out of it from the laughing gas so it was alright. :)
But, after all that the tooth FINALLY came out and I am A-okay!!!! I was a little fuzzy after I woke up, but that is normal I guess... it didn't take me too long though to get back to normal. :)

Also, I got highlights and low lights!!! Along with a pretty awesome haircut if I do say so myself. :D I absolutely love it and I am so happy with it all. :D
Hopefully I'll get a picture of my new do on here soon. :)

Oh! Oh! And I cannot forget! TAYLOR SWIFT'S NEW ALBUM CAME OUT!!!!!! I was SOO excited!!! I went out and bought it the first day it was in stores. :D I've listened to it probably close to 40 times already and I think my top five faves on the album are...
1.Enchanted
2.Sparks Fly
3.The Story of Us
4.Haunted
5.Speak Now
(In this order)

Well, that is all for this post! I hope y'all are having a great November and take advantage of the rest of 2010 to fulfill some dreams... I'm going to try.
If you want, leave me a comment and tell me what you really want to accomplish before 2010 comes to a close, I know that I want to finish at least one more book and tell someone about Jesus Christ's love and sacrifice. :)

Have a great November!

10-7-10:The best feeling

You wanna know what I consider one of the best feelings in the world?
The love between a horse and a girl.

It is something that no one can fake, no one can duplicate. It is something rare, and something beautiful.
Today I went for my lesson and I had to bring in my favorite school horse, Leo. Now, I've told y'all about Leo before. He is a seven year-old, 1,800+ pound paint Tobiano and one of the sweetest horses I know(sometimes... lol).
Anyway, I opened the paddock and grabbed his lead rope. I called his name softly and his head picked up from the other end of the long gated area.
I stood at the other end and waited. I didn't wait long though.
He was staring right at me, we made eye contact and it held until he stopped trotting right in front of me. My heart was already swelling that he'd actually come when I called him, but I was sure it would burst out of my chest when he happily nudged me with his big nose and then planted a sloppy wet horsey kiss on my cheek.
Some people don't understand why I am so in love with horses. They don't get why I got a job bleaching buckets of all things this past summer JUST so I could be around the creatures. Surely, they all thought. She could find something better to do with her time.

Today, I fell head over heels in love.
Head of heels in love with a four legged animal that is.
And I would have it no other way.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

3-10-10: Riding

Hiyah!
Well, I just got home from another really great riding lesson, it was lots of fun. :D
I got to ride Leo, YEAH! lol (As most of you know, he's my favorite horse at my stables... and in the entire world. =D)
He was a little frisky at first, so I had to walk him about ten or fifteen times around the arena before I hopped on.
He was still a little feisty so I had to keep a tight rein on him when Jill(my instructor) finally asked me to have him trot. He kept wanting to canter and shake his head, which is distracting and hard to handle. (Try controlling a 100+ pound object that is flying around with only two leather ropes and a piece of metal(that's the bit) it's not easy!)
But finally, he calmed down, though he still shook his head around a lot. But it wasn't as much so I could control him a lot better.
We worked on my sitting trot & posting trot with stirrups and then again without stirrups. No cantering today because Leo was not being very cooperative.
Finally at the end of my lesson I dismounted (after laying there across his neck for awhile... so nice. :D) and I was taking the reins of of his martingale when I ran my hand across his cheek and got pricked!
I looked closer and saw that he had a little, tiny piece of metal stuck in his cheek! (MY POOR, POOR BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) It took me awhile to get it out 'cause the end that was stuck into his skin was bent so I had to work carefully to get it out without hurting him. (Again, MY POOR BABY!!!!) When I got it out I finished running up his stirrups and then walked over to Jill, and showed it to her. (Here is kinda how our small conversation went)
ME: "Jill, I know why he was shaking his head so much."
JILL: "Why?"
ME: "I just pulled this out of his cheek." (Me holding up the small metal sliver)
JILL: "OH! POOR BABY!"
ME: I know, I cannot believe I didn't feel it before now."
JILL: (takes the metal sliver) "Well, that explains why he was being so sassy."
ME: (Nods) "There's a little bump too."
JILL: "AWE! POOR BABY!"
Yeah, that's about it... but he did have a small bump from where I'd pulled the sliver out. :( I still feel bad from him. We think he got it when he was outside earlier that day. :(
After that, I got off his tack and then led him around the arena for about fifteen minutes, letting him stop every now and then to sniff and nibble at the bark chips (We'd just gotten new ones).
Finally I got him back to his stall and groomed. I gave him a nice large carrot and then a whole bunch of baby ones.
I wasn't aware that another horse, Georgia was wandering around in the arena while her owner and rider was talking with Jill.
Suddenly I hear laughter behind me and I turn around to see Georgia, standing behind the arena fence, her neck stretched out, reaching for me. She wanted Leo's carrots!
ME: "I'm sorry Georgia, they're all gone." (She didn't believe me)
I walked back down towards the tack room to throw out the bag that held the baby carrots and Georgia followed me! And then she followed me again when I walked back to Leo's stall. Silly horse.
Finally her owner got her a small bag of baby carrots and then a small bag of apple slices. She was much happier then. :D
Well, that was pretty much all the exciting stuff about my lesson... I hope ya'll have a great day! I've gotta go get ready for youth group!
