5-21-11:A verse to think about

Hey y'all! Sorry it's been forever... but summer is right around the corner and I think the warm weather is getting to my head. :)

I was having a tough time deciding on what to post today, but a certain verse has really been on my heart this past week and, I found myself wondering what you guys think of it.

Here it is in three different versions, enjoy :)

I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 ~ NCV (New Century Version)

Christ gives me the strength to face anything. Philippians 4:13 ~ CEV (Contemporary English Version)

I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 ~ GWT (GOD’S WORD Translation)

My personal favorite is the NCV, because it specifically says that I can do anything because Christ gives me strength.

Okay... country music stars are officially the most incredible people on earth. I normally don't like to post video after video, but this time I seriously couldn't help it.
Some of you may have heard of the new show, CMT's next superstar. I'm not the biggest fan to be honest, it's a little cheesy for my taste, but last night's episode brought me to tears!
The contestants got to witness the coming home of soldiers that had been away for twelve months(!). And then, after that they had to write a song about their experience with the soldiers and their families. What they came up with was just incredible, but one song really stood out for me, and I'm not sure if it just has to do with that at one point and time, I was in the same position the song describes(my daddy was in the Navy for 8 years, three and a half of those I was alive), or just the powerful emotion the song brings.

4-25-11: This is why...

Hello again! Sorry it's been soooooo long since I posted, but life seems to be insane lately :)
First off, let me just wish y'all a very, very happy (but belated... SORRY!) Easter!!! HE IS RISEN!!! AMEN! We have hope now because our Lord and Savior has conquered death and we can now be with him for ALL eternity!
I had the incredible pleasure of being able to sing in my church's Easter service yesterday, and let me tell you, God is great! :D Normally, I go on stage and I'm scared to death, and I was... at first. But as soon as the music started, I forgot all about the hundreds and hundreds of eyes that were on me(We had standing room only in our sanctuary that holds 400! Praise the Lord!) and just sang my heart out to my loving Lord and Savior. :D It was an incredible service and one I will certainly remember for the rest of my life :)

Secondly, I'd like to share a video with you. :) This is why I personally love country music. Mega superstars can come out and sing timeless, classic praise songs and people get teary eyed and raise their hands to sing along, and no one has a negative word about it. Some of you may have already seen this clip, or even watched it on TV a few nights ago... but I cannot get enough of it :) I've watched it on my DVR at least five times and I've lost track of how many times I've listened to it online.

4-1-11: Pictures!

Hello! Happy April First! Anyone doing any pranking today??? I'm not... but I don't think that is going to stop my bros, they are all acting a little suspicious today... :-/

But getting to my point, here are some pictures from my Jamaica trip!

So, at our first hotel there were these gorgeous flowers and this is my attempt at a quick edit... I kept the colors the same, other than the black and white so they really were this pink :D
