5-31-11: A Day Late

So I feel terrible that this is a day late, but I was no where near a computer yesterday so here it is...

THANK-YOU TROOPS! YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!!

Here is a little something that I've been (trying) to write for awhile now... it's only the chorus but I hope you enjoy...

Thank-you,
We love you,
We’re praying for you,
You’re amazing,
Incredible,
So special,
I realize freedom can’t come free,
That’s why you’re over there,
Fighting for me,
Words cannot begin to express,
My gratitude,
So I’ll just start by saying,
Thank-you! ♥

Once again, thank-you so much to the men and women fighting for our freedom! You guys are the best and I cannot even begin to describe my thanks to you :)
You're truly amazing,

5-27-11: Can't! Wait!

Okay, so I saw this on my fave author's website yesterday and almost fell out of my chair....

Are you as excited as I am???????? Have you read anything by Jenny B Jones, if so, what book was your favorite? I just picked up In Between, one of her first novels and can't wait to start reading it. (I've already read her Charmed Life series, Just Between You and Me and Save the Date)
Have a fantastic week-end!

5-21-11:A verse to think about

Hey y'all! Sorry it's been forever... but summer is right around the corner and I think the warm weather is getting to my head. :)

I was having a tough time deciding on what to post today, but a certain verse has really been on my heart this past week and, I found myself wondering what you guys think of it.

Here it is in three different versions, enjoy :)

I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 ~ NCV (New Century Version)

Christ gives me the strength to face anything. Philippians 4:13 ~ CEV (Contemporary English Version)

I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 ~ GWT (GOD’S WORD Translation)

My personal favorite is the NCV, because it specifically says that I can do anything because Christ gives me strength.

What about you? Do you have a favorite version? What does this verse mean to you?

Have a great week-end!

P.S
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father…Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come…So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.” ~Matthew 24:36-44

I'm still here :)

5-7-11

Okay... country music stars are officially the most incredible people on earth. I normally don't like to post video after video, but this time I seriously couldn't help it.
Some of you may have heard of the new show, CMT's next superstar. I'm not the biggest fan to be honest, it's a little cheesy for my taste, but last night's episode brought me to tears!
The contestants got to witness the coming home of soldiers that had been away for twelve months(!). And then, after that they had to write a song about their experience with the soldiers and their families. What they came up with was just incredible, but one song really stood out for me, and I'm not sure if it just has to do with that at one point and time, I was in the same position the song describes(my daddy was in the Navy for 8 years, three and a half of those I was alive), or just the powerful emotion the song brings.
So here it is, please enjoy!

If you love this song as much as I do, you can download it on itunes!! Just search for either Andrea Pearson or Keeper of the Stars. :D

Have a fantastic week-end and do not forget to do something special for your mothers tomorrow!
